Development of the Game
Set after Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Sora, the returning protagonist, joined forces with Riku, King Mickey, Goofy and Donald Duck in pursuit of the Key to Return Hearts and the 7 guardians of the Light. They are attempting to stop the plan created by Master Xehanort to spark the next Keyblade War. When it comes to gameplay, the Kingdom Hearts 3 is somewhat similar to the previous games in the series. Tetsuya Nomura, the director, stated that combat will be experienced like in the Kingdom Hearts 2. However, multiplayer elements are being considered in order to put more excitement for players across the globe.
In the newest game series, Sora is to encounter the Heartless and Nobodies. The latest gameplay elements were actually seen in the trailer released at E3 2015 wherein new adversaries, traversal elements like summons, jumping, wall running, team-up attacks and Keyblade transformations are expected to allow players enjoy the game even more. Also, Sora will be joined by Goofy and Donald or any of the additional characters to make team-up attacks in one snap. The Keyblade transformations need to be unlocked through cleared missions in each world in the game.
